Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the OKI setup as administrator and use the package matching Windows 32/64-bit. Disconnect the printer during setup, reconnect only when prompted; if Windows blocks the driver, check OKI’s signed release rather than forcing an unsigned one.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the ML 390 TURBO is powered on and ready. For USB, connect directly to the PC, not a hub; for parallel, check the LPT cable and BIOS port mode (try ECP/EPP or standard). Reboot and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts/old queue?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing “OKI MICROLINE 390” printers and drivers in Printers & scanners > Print server properties, restart, then install the current 390 TURBO driver. Set the correct port and default emulation.
