Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the MC160n USB cable before running the Oki setup, then run it as administrator. If the package is older, try Windows compatibility mode; reconnect USB only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct rear port and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the MC160n has a valid IP, is on the same subnet as the PC, and is added on the correct TCP/IP port.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Oki MC160n software and remove stale printer entries in Print Server Properties. Reboot, then install the matching 32/64-bit Windows driver; avoid mixing old and new Oki packages.
