Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Use the Oki C9850 PCL driver matching your Windows architecture (32/64-bit), run the installer as administrator, and remove any older Oki driver package first. Unsigned or mismatched PCL packages often fail during setup.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear port and a known-good cable; avoid hubs. For network, confirm the printer’s IP, set a static address, and verify the Standard TCP/IP port is reachable before reinstalling the PCL driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts / duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Old Oki C9850 PCL or PS queues can conflict. Open Print Management, delete stale queues and driver packages, reboot, then install only the C9850 PCL driver and recreate the queue.
