Name: O2Micro USB to I2C Adapter Driver
Author: O2Micro

Question 1

Install fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Use the O2Micro package matching your Windows version and architecture, and run it as administrator. If Windows rejects the driver, verify it is signed and not an older incompatible release.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for the O2Micro USB-to-I2C device and its VID/PID; try another USB port/cable. Confirm the I2C target is powered, has correct pull-ups, and SDA/SCL are not swapped.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any previous O2Micro USB-to-I2C driver in Device Manager with “Delete driver software,” reboot, then install the latest version. If I2C transfers fail after an update, roll back the driver.
