Name: O2Micro OZ6912 CardBus Controller Driver
Author: O2Micro

Question 1

Install fails on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

The OZ6912 uses a legacy CardBus driver. Run the installer in compatibility mode for Windows XP/Vista, or update manually via Device Manager → “Update driver” → “Browse” and point to the extracted INF. Disable driver signature enforcement only if the INF is unsigned.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for “PCI-to-CardBus bridge” or unknown PCMCIA controller. Enable CardBus/PCMCIA in BIOS, verify the slot has power, and reseat the CardBus card. On laptops, ensure the legacy PC Card controller is not disabled.

Question 3

Version/conflict errors (Code 10/12)?

Accepted Answer

Windows may load a generic PCI-CardBus driver. Uninstall the existing O2Micro entry, reboot, and install the OEM OZ6912 driver first; avoid installing multiple CardBus driver versions.
