Name: O2Micro OZ6832 CardBus Controller Driver
Author: O2Micro

Question 1

Install fails on Windows 10/11?

Accepted Answer

The OZ6832 is a legacy CardBus controller; modern Windows may reject its unsigned or x86-only INF. Run the installer in compatibility mode, or update manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse, selecting the correct INF for your Windows architecture.

Question 2

CardBus device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the card is fully seated and the slot is enabled in BIOS/UEFI. Check Device Manager for a PCMCIA/CardBus controller or unknown device; if absent, the laptop’s CardBus bridge may be disabled or unsupported.

Question 3

Version/driver conflict (Code 10/28/43)?

Accepted Answer

Remove old O2Micro/PCMCIA drivers and hidden devices, reboot, then install the OEM-matched OZ6832 driver. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit INF files.
