Author: Number Nine

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Number Nine Revolution 3D setup as Administrator with Windows 95/98 compatibility, close background apps, and temporarily disable antivirus. If it still fails, remove any existing Number Nine display driver in Safe Mode, reboot, and reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the Revolution 3D card in its AGP/PCI slot, confirm chipset/AGP drivers are installed, and check Device Manager for an unknown display adapter or yellow warning. Try another slot and verify legacy VGA/IRQ settings in BIOS.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Number Nine drivers and duplicate display adapters before installing. Reboot after removal, then install only the package matching your Windows version and DirectX level.
