Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Older Nokia USB/PC Suite drivers may be unsigned or incompatible with modern Windows. Run the Nokia installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode; if blocked, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

The Nokia C2 01 may be in charging-only or mass-storage mode. Set USB mode to PC Suite, use a known-good data cable, connect directly to a rear USB port, and check Device Manager for “Nokia C2-01” with a warning icon.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall Nokia PC Suite/Ovi Suite and all Nokia USB/connectivity drivers, reboot, then install one matching package. Remove hidden old Nokia drivers in Device Manager before reconnecting the C2 01.
