Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Nokia driver installer as administrator and in Windows compatibility mode. On 64-bit Windows, old unsigned INF files may be blocked—use a signed package or temporarily disable driver signature enforcement.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB cable/port and set the Nokia C2-00 to “PC Suite” or modem mode. Check Device Manager for an unknown device or missing COM port; update the driver manually via “Update driver > Browse.”

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall Nokia PC Suite/OVI Suite and any existing Nokia modem entries first, then reboot. Reinstall only the modem driver and prevent Windows Update from replacing it with a generic modem driver.
