Name: Nokia 6085 USB (COM4) Driver
Author: Nokia

Question 1

Install fails or driver is unsigned?

Accepted Answer

The Nokia 6085 uses a legacy USB modem/serial driver. Run the installer as Administrator in Windows XP/Vista compatibility mode, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if Windows blocks it. Reboot before connecting the phone.

Question 2

Device not detected / COM4 missing?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port and a known-good Nokia cable. In Device Manager, check Ports (COM & LPT) or Unknown devices for Nokia 6085 USB. If COM4 is occupied by Bluetooth or another modem, free it or assign COM4 manually under Port Settings > Advanced.

Question 3

Version conflicts with Nokia PC Suite/Nokia Suite?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nokia USB modem drivers and PC Suite, remove hidden COM port entries, reboot, then install only the matching 6085 driver. Do not run two Nokia suites at once.
