Name: Nippon Primex Receipt Printer Driver
Author: Nippon Primex

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Close POS/printing apps, run the Nippon Primex installer as administrator, and connect USB directly—not through a hub. For serial/Ethernet models, confirm the correct port is selected during setup.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check printer power, cable, and self-test print. In Device Manager, look for unknown/USB-serial devices; then set the matching USB or COM port in printer properties.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Nippon Primex drivers and stale printer queues via Print Management, reboot, then install the latest vendor driver matching your Windows architecture and connection type.
