Name: Nikon Coolpix L810 Driver
Author: Nikon

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Coolpix L810, run the Nikon installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Use the package matching your Windows version. On Windows 10/11, the built-in MTP/PTP driver often works better than older Nikon packages.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB data cable—not a charge-only cable—and use a rear desktop USB port. Set the L810’s USB option to MTP/PTP or Mass Storage in its setup menu, power it on, and check Device Manager for unknown devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Nikon drivers/software and remove duplicate “Nikon Coolpix L810” entries in Device Manager, then reboot. Install only one driver package; if the camera appears as MTP but Nikon software cannot see it, update the software rather than forcing another driver.
