Author: NaturalPoint

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Unplug the TrackIR 5 camera, close TrackIR and games, run the NaturalPoint installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and remove older TrackIR/NaturalPoint software before rebooting and reinstalling.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the camera directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, avoid hubs, check the camera LED, and open TrackIR software before launching the game. If still missing, reinstall the USB driver and test another PC.

Question 3

Version conflicts or no in-game tracking?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall stale TrackIR software and outdated game profiles, install the latest official NaturalPoint release, then start TrackIR before the game. Confirm the game has native TrackIR support and no other app is using the camera.
