Name: MUTOH RJ 900X Driver
Author: Mutoh

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Mutoh RJ-900X driver installer as administrator, disconnect the printer until prompted, and remove any older Mutoh RJ-series driver before retrying. Temporarily disable antivirus only during install.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, connect the RJ-900X directly to a rear motherboard port with a known-good cable—avoid hubs. For network models, confirm the printer’s IP/subnet, add a Windows TCP/IP port manually, and allow the driver through the firewall.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old RJ-900X/Mutoh drivers via Print Management, delete stale printer queues and ports, reboot, then install the latest Windows driver. Do not mix 32-bit/64-bit or old status-monitor utilities with the new driver.
