Name: Mustek WCam 300A Driver
Author: Mustek

Question 1

Driver install fails on newer Windows?

Accepted Answer

The WCam 300A package is legacy. Run the installer as Administrator in Windows compatibility mode for XP/Vista, and allow unsigned/older drivers if prompted.

Question 2

Webcam not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the WCam 300A directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown USB Device” or “Imaging devices”; uninstall the entry, reboot, then reinstall the Mustek driver.

Question 3

Version/device conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Mustek webcam software and uninstall the old camera driver in Device Manager, including “Delete the driver software.” Reboot before installing the WCam 300A package, and select “Mustek WCam 300A” in your video app instead of another camera.
