Name: Mustek BearPaw 1200CU Plus Driver
Author: Mustek

Question 1

Install fails or hangs?

Accepted Answer

Run the Mustek setup as Administrator and try Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode; these are legacy USB scanner drivers. Disable driver signature enforcement if Windows blocks the installer.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the BearPaw 1200CU Plus directly to a USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device, then reconnect the scanner after the driver install finishes.

Question 3

Version/TWAIN conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Mustek drivers, scanner software, and duplicate TWAIN entries, reboot, then install only one driver package. Do not mix 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
