Name: Mountz Torque Meter Driver
Author: Mountz

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Mountz driver installer as administrator, close torque-analysis software, and temporarily disable antivirus. On Windows 10/11, use the signed driver from Mountz; unsigned older USB-serial drivers may be blocked.

Question 2

Device not detected / no COM port?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the torque meter is powered and in PC/USB output mode. Try a direct USB port and a known data cable. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB/serial device, install the correct USB-serial driver, and note the assigned COM port.

Question 3

Version or COM-port conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Mountz/torque-meter drivers and unused virtual COM ports, reboot, then install the current driver. In your torque software, select the meter’s current COM port and avoid ports already used by other instruments.
