Name: Motorola USB Composite Device Driver
Author: Motorola

Question 1

Install fails (Code 10/28)?

Accepted Answer

Remove the device in Device Manager with “Delete driver software,” reboot, then install the Motorola USB driver package for your Windows version. Generic CDC/composite drivers can leave interfaces unbound.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a known data-capable cable and a rear/direct USB port; avoid hubs. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes and check for unknown devices. For ADB access, enable USB debugging; disable USB selective suspend.

Question 3

Version conflicts/yellow bang?

Accepted Answer

Roll back or uninstall older Motorola/Android USB drivers, then install one matching driver package. Prevent Windows Update from replacing it if the issue returns.
