Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Kyocera ECOSYS M3540idn KX package and stale print queue in Print Management, then run the driver installer as administrator and reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the M3540idn has a valid IP, enable SNMP/discovery, and add the printer by IP address.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kyocera/KX drivers, delete unused TCP/IP or USB ports, and install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package matching Windows. Restart the print spooler afterward.
