Author: Kyocera

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Kyocera/KX packages, reboot, then run the M3040dn KX installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus and VPN; use the correct 32/64-bit package.

Question 2

Printer not detected on the network?

Accepted Answer

Print the M3040dn status page, confirm its IP, and add a Standard TCP/IP port manually. Keep the PC and printer on the same subnet; check firewall/SNMP and remove stale WSD ports.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Kyocera print queues and drivers via Print Management, then install the latest KX driver only. Don’t mix PCL/KPDL and KX packages; for scan issues, reinstall the matching Kyocera scan driver and reboot.
