Name: Kyocera CS 305 KX Driver
Author: Kyocera

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, remove any existing Kyocera printer entries and ports, then run the CS 305 KX installer as administrator. For network installs, use the printer’s IP address instead of WSD discovery.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the CS 305 KX is on the same subnet as the PC and ping its IP. For USB, connect directly to the PC, not a hub, and try another port. Ensure the selected printer port matches the connection type.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kyocera drivers and delete unused printer ports before installing the current CS 305 KX package. Avoid mixing PCL and KX driver queues for the same device; remove duplicate queues and set one correct driver as default.
