Name: Kworld UB490 A Driver
Author: Kworld

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The UB490 A uses older USB TV-tuner drivers. Run the Kworld setup as Administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if Windows blocks the unsigned package. Match 32/64-bit to your OS.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the tuner directly into a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub or USB 3.0-only port. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown device” or missing BDA/DVB tuner entries; uninstall it, reboot, then reinstall the Kworld driver before opening TV software.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove previous Kworld/DTV or generic tuner drivers and hidden devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the UB490 A package. Don’t mix driver versions or let Windows Update replace the tuner driver.
