Name: Kraun USB to Serial Port Driver
Author: Kraun

Question 1

Install fails or driver won’t load?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, reboot, then reconnect the Kraun adapter. If Windows blocks the driver, check Device Manager for an error code and reinstall using the correct USB-to-serial package.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable and avoid unpowered hubs. In Device Manager, look under “Ports (COM & LPT)” or “Unknown devices”; if missing, unplug/replug and scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts or wrong COM port?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing USB-to-serial driver, reboot, and install only the Kraun-compatible version. If the COM port is missing or conflicting, open Port Settings > Advanced and assign an unused COM number.
