Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the KORG USB-MIDI driver installer as administrator, close DAWs/other MIDI software, and reboot when prompted. Disconnect the Pa500 until the installer asks for it.

Question 2

Pa500 not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the Pa500 directly to a USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Power it on, check the USB cable, and confirm the Pa500 is using its USB-MIDI connection rather than another mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older KORG USB-MIDI drivers and remove unused “KORG USB-MIDI” entries in Device Manager, then reboot and install the current driver before reopening your DAW.
