Name: KORG KROME Driver
Author: KORG

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the KROME, close DAWs and MIDI apps, then run the KORG USB-MIDI Driver installer as Administrator. Use the latest Windows 10/11-compatible driver and temporarily disable antivirus if setup is blocked.

Question 2

KROME not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Try another USB cable/port, power-cycle the KROME, and check Device Manager for “KORG KROME” or an unknown USB device. Reinstall the driver if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts / wrong MIDI port?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older KORG USB-MIDI drivers and remove unused KORG MIDI devices with KORG’s driver uninstall utility. Reboot, install one current driver, then reselect KROME as the MIDI input/output in your DAW.
