Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, remove old Konica Minolta 162 entries in Devices and Printers and Print Management, run the installer as administrator, reboot, then reconnect when prompted.

For USB, try another cable/port and confirm the printer is powered on. For network use, set a static IP, verify you can ping it, then add a TCP/IP port manually and select the Konica Minolta 162 driver.

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Konica Minolta driver packages from Print Management > Drivers, clear the print spooler, install the correct 32/64-bit package, and keep only one Konica Minolta 162 queue.
