Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kodak Z760 driver installer as Administrator. If it still fails on newer Windows, use Compatibility Mode for the installer and temporarily disable antivirus during setup.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Z760 is set to PC/Connect mode, use a direct rear USB port and a known-good data cable, then check Device Manager for unknown devices. Avoid unpowered hubs.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kodak EasyShare software and any existing camera driver, reboot, then install only the matching Z760 package. In Device Manager, remove stale entries under Imaging devices or Portable devices before reinstalling.
