Name: Kodak Scanner i40 Driver
Author: Kodak

Question 1

Installation fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Kodak i40 first, run the driver installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus. Remove any partial install, reboot, then reinstall the correct 32/64-bit package.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the i40 and use a direct USB port—not a hub. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes; if it appears with an error, uninstall the device and reconnect it. Confirm the scanner is ready before opening scanning software.

Question 3

Driver/TWAIN/ISIS version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kodak scanner drivers, TWAIN/ISIS components, and Smart Touch before installing the new package. Reboot after removal. Avoid mixing packages from different i40 versions.
