Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the Kodak i1210, run the installer as administrator, and temporarily disable antivirus/security prompts. Remove any previous Kodak scanner software, reboot, then reinstall the correct Windows driver before reconnecting the USB cable.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB 2.0/3.0 port and cable, avoid unpowered hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown devices. Confirm the scanner is powered on and ready, then reinstall the driver so Windows can bind the correct scanner device.

Question 3

TWAIN/WIA or version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kodak/TWAIN drivers and scanner utilities first. Match the driver bitness to Windows (32- or 64-bit), and set the i1210 as the default scanning source in your document-management or capture application.
