Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Close all scanning apps, run the Kodak i1150 installer as administrator, and leave the scanner disconnected until setup prompts you. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power-cycle the i1150, use a direct USB 2.0 port instead of a hub, check Device Manager for errors, and confirm no other TWAIN/ISIS application is holding the scanner.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kodak scanner drivers, Smart Touch, and TWAIN/ISIS components, reboot, then install the latest i1150 package matching your Windows version. Avoid mixing 32-bit and 64-bit drivers.
