Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The C763’s older Kodak driver package may not run on current Windows. Run the installer as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode, reboot, then connect the camera only when prompted.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the EasyShare C763 is powered on and set to PC/Transfer mode, not PictBridge. Use a known data-capable USB cable, plug directly into a rear USB port, and avoid unpowered hubs.

Question 3

Driver/software version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Kodak EasyShare software and any unknown camera devices in Device Manager. Reboot before installing the C763 driver; if Windows already detects it via MTP/PTP, use that instead of forcing an older package.
