Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kodak E1025 installer as administrator. Disconnect the scanner until setup prompts for it, and remove any older Kodak scanner entries in Device Manager and Printers & scanners before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port instead of a hub, confirm the scanner is powered on, try a different cable/port, and restart the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service. Reconnect after Windows finishes loading.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Kodak E1025 drivers and scanner software, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package. Avoid installing TWAIN/WIA components from different driver versions.
