Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kodak installer as administrator, use Windows compatibility mode for XP/2000, and reboot before retrying. Only disable driver signature enforcement if you are using an unsigned legacy package.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port or powered hub, reseat the cable, and check Device Manager for an unknown device. Confirm the DVC 300 is in PC/video mode, not playback.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Kodak imaging drivers and remove hidden devices in Device Manager, then install the DVC 300 driver before plugging in the camera. Avoid generic webcam drivers that may incorrectly bind to it.
