Name: Kingston DT 100 G2 USB Device Driver
Author: Kingston

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

The DT 100 G2 is a standard USB mass-storage device and usually needs no Kingston driver. If an old package fails, uninstall the device in Device Manager, reconnect it, and let Windows install its in-box USB Mass Storage driver.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a direct rear USB port and another PC. Check Disk Management for an unassigned or offline volume; assign a drive letter if present. Avoid unpowered hubs.

Question 3

Version/Code 10 conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Outdated USB host-controller or chipset drivers can cause “This device cannot start.” Update or roll back the USB controller driver, then uninstall/reinstall the flash drive under Disk Drives. Do not use third-party driver updaters.
