Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Kensington installer as administrator, unblock the downloaded file (Properties > Unblock), and temporarily disable third-party antivirus. Remove any older Kensington presenter/mouse utility first, then reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected over Bluetooth?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the mouse is in pairing mode, remove any stale “Slimblade” entry in Windows Bluetooth settings, and re-pair. Check/replace batteries and ensure the presenter/mouse switch is in the correct mode; use a USB Bluetooth adapter if the built-in radio is unreliable.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate HID devices?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Kensington software and duplicate HID-compliant mouse/presenter entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install the latest driver. Avoid mixing generic Windows HID drivers with the Kensington utility if presenter buttons stop working.
