Name: JVC GZ HD7 Driver
Author: JVC

Question 1

Camcorder not detected over USB?

Accepted Answer

Set the GZ-HD7 to the correct PC connection mode (HDD/playback), use a direct USB port instead of a hub, and try a known-good USB cable. Check Device Manager for an unknown device, then reconnect.

Question 2

Driver/software install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the JVC Everio installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and remove older JVC/Pixela Everio software before reinstalling. Reboot before reconnecting the camcorder.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Everio MediaBrowser/USB driver versions, then in Device Manager remove the GZ-HD7 entry and its driver. Reconnect only after the current package is installed.
