Name: Joytech PS2 to USB Adapter Driver
Author: Joytech

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Unplug the adapter before running the installer, run it as administrator, and match the driver package to your Windows version/architecture. If Windows blocks it, verify the publisher/signature instead of forcing an unsigned old driver.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the PS2 controller to the adapter first, then plug the adapter directly into a rear USB port—avoid unpowered hubs. Check Device Manager under Human Interface Devices and USB controllers for unknown or disabled entries, then re-enable or reinstall them.

Question 3

Version/controller conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Joytech or generic HID game-controller entries, reboot, and reinstall once. In games, select DirectInput and remap buttons; close other controller-mapping utilities to prevent conflicts.
