Author: Jawbone

Question 1

Install fails or stops early?

Accepted Answer

Remove any older Jawbone/Bluetooth driver, reboot, then run the NERD installer as administrator. Use the Windows 10/11 package and avoid compatibility mode.

Question 2

Device not detected or pairing fails?

Accepted Answer

Enable Bluetooth, put the NERD in pairing mode (hold the power/pair button until the LED flashes), delete stale “Jawbone NERD” entries in Settings > Bluetooth & devices, then re-pair. For USB, use a data-capable cable and a direct port.

Question 3

Version conflicts or no audio/mic after updating?

Accepted Answer

In Device Manager, roll back the Bluetooth driver, remove duplicate NERD audio endpoints, set it as the default playback/recording device, and re-pair after the driver update.
