Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the IR touchscreen, uninstall any existing IRTOUCH or HID touchscreen entries in Device Manager (enable “Show hidden devices”), reboot, then run the installer as administrator. Allow the signed driver if Windows blocks it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the USB cable directly to a rear motherboard port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for “Unknown device” or HID touchscreen entries, power-cycle the touchscreen, and reinstall the INF/driver package.

Question 3

Version conflicts or touch misbehaves?

Accepted Answer

Remove older IRTOUCH drivers and “HID-compliant touch screen” devices, delete leftover driver packages, reboot, and install the matching version. Recalibrate the infrared touchscreen after installation.
