Author: Ingenico

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Ingenico USB Serial/Comm Port driver entries in Device Manager (enable Show hidden devices), reboot, then run the iST1xx/iUC1xx/iUP250 driver installer as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected / no COM7?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the terminal is powered and use a known-good USB cable and port. Check Device Manager for an unknown device or missing port; if needed, update the driver manually using the Ingenico INF via Have Disk.

Question 3

COM7 conflicts or version mismatch?

Accepted Answer

Close POS software that may hold COM7 open. Remove stale COM-port assignments, reinstall the matching Ingenico driver version, then reassign COM7 in Port Settings or let Windows choose a free port.
