Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the InfoPrint Color 1634 Express installer as administrator, close print-management apps, and remove any previous InfoPrint/Ricoh package via Programs and Features before retrying. Restart the print spooler (`services.msc`) if files remain locked.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the printer has a static IP and is on the same subnet; add it with a Standard TCP/IP port instead of WSD. For USB, use a direct rear port and a known-good cable, then reinstall the 1634 Express driver.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older universal or model-specific drivers, clear stale queues and ports, and install the matching 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing PCL/PS drivers unless required; set the new driver as default and reboot.
