Author: InfoPrint

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the installer as administrator, disconnect USB until prompted, and remove any existing InfoPrint/IBM print queue. Verify the package matches your Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, use a direct rear port and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the printer’s IP, create a TCP/IP port, and allow File and Printer Sharing/SNMP through Windows Firewall. Restart the print spooler.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Delete old IBM/InfoPrint or universal printer drivers and stale queues/ports in Print Management, reboot, then install only the InfoPrint 2105 package. Avoid mixing PCL/PS drivers unless the queue is configured for that language.
