Author: Imagistics

Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

On Windows 10/11, run the DL170 setup as administrator and try Windows 7 compatibility mode. If it still fails, extract the package and install the printer INF via Devices and Printers > Add a printer > Have Disk.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power-cycle the DL170, connect USB directly to the PC (no hub), and try another cable/port. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB/print device; reinstall the driver if it appears there.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing Imagistics DL170 print queue and old driver in Print Management, restart the Print Spooler service, then install only the downloaded DL170 driver.
