Question 1

Install fails or “driver is not compatible”?

Accepted Answer

Use the Iiyama ProLite E383W monitor INF, not a graphics-card driver. Right-click the INF and select Install, or use Device Manager > Monitors > Update driver > Browse. Run as administrator.

Question 2

Monitor not detected / shows as Generic PnP Monitor?

Accepted Answer

Check the video cable and selected input, power-cycle both devices, then scan for hardware changes in Device Manager. If it stays generic, set the correct resolution/refresh rate and reinstall the monitor INF.

Question 3

Version conflicts or repeated rollback?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Iiyama monitor entries in Device Manager with hidden devices shown, disconnect extra displays, and stop Windows Update from replacing the monitor driver. Reboot before installing the current package.
