Question 1

Install fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

confirm the package matches the X240’s Windows version and x64 architecture, install the Intel chipset driver first, and run the installer as administrator. Temporarily disable antivirus if it blocks setup.

Question 2

Device not detected (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/audio)?

Accepted Answer

enable Wireless LAN/Bluetooth in BIOS, check Fn+F5 or the hardware switch, and look for unknown devices in Device Manager. Reboot and rescan hardware after installing.

Question 3

Version conflicts or yellow bangs?

Accepted Answer

uninstall the previous IBM/Lenovo driver, reboot, then install the matching X240 package. For graphics, use Device Manager rollback or DDU before reinstalling; avoid stacking Windows Update and vendor drivers.
