Name: IBM ThinkPad T41 (2378DEU) Driver
Author: IBM

Question 1

Installer fails on modern Windows?

Accepted Answer

T41 packages are XP-era and often unsigned. Run setup as administrator in Compatibility Mode for Windows XP SP3; if still blocked, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement and install the INF manually via Device Manager.

Question 2

Wireless or GPU not detected?

Accepted Answer

Install the Intel chipset/INF package first, reboot, then check BIOS for enabled wireless/radio and use Fn+F5 to turn it on. Install IBM Hotkey/Power Management before the WLAN or ATI Mobility Radeon driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows Update?

Accepted Answer

Remove the generic or newer Lenovo/IBM driver in Device Manager, select “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install the package matching 2378DEU. Avoid mixing T40/T41/T42 driver packages.
