Name: IBM ThinkCentre A50 8175 Driver
Author: IBM

Question 1

Installer fails or exits early?

Accepted Answer

Extract the IBM driver package to a local folder, right-click setup.exe and choose Run as administrator; on newer Windows use Compatibility Mode for XP/2000. Install chipset drivers before audio/network/graphics.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm onboard audio/NIC/video is enabled in BIOS, install the Intel chipset driver for the 8175 first, then rescan Device Manager. Use the package for machine type 8175, not another A50 model.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove or roll back the generic Windows driver in Device Manager, reboot, then install the IBM/Lenovo package matching 8175. Avoid mixing drivers from other ThinkCentre models.
