Author: IBM

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The SurePOS 300 driver package may require administrator rights or a specific Windows build. Run the installer as administrator, confirm you have the correct 32/64-bit package, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement only if using a legacy signed package.

Question 2

Terminal or attached POS peripherals not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the SurePOS 300 is powered on, USB/serial cables are secure, and the correct COM/USB port is selected. Rescan in Device Manager; for serial peripherals, confirm baud rate and port settings in the POS application.

Question 3

Version conflicts after an update?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older IBM SurePOS or peripheral drivers first, reboot, then install the matched driver set. Avoid mixing drivers from different SurePOS models; use Device Manager rollback if the terminal stops responding.
