Name: Honestech TVR 2.5 Driver
Author: Honestech

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Honestech TVR 2.5 setup as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and retry in Windows compatibility mode. If Windows blocks the legacy tuner driver, disable driver signature enforcement, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

TV tuner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the device directly to a rear USB port (or reseat the card), check Device Manager for “Unknown” or “Video Capture” device, then install/update the Honestech driver and rescan hardware. Test another port/cable and confirm antenna input.

Question 3

Version conflicts with old TVR/tuner drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous Honestech TVR and other TV tuner/capture drivers, remove leftover devices in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the driver version matching TVR 2.5. Avoid mixing codec packs.
