Name: Hondata K Series ECU Driver
Author: Hondata

Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Hondata KManager installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and allow the signed Hondata USB driver. Avoid legacy/unsigned K-Pro drivers on Windows 10/11.

Question 2

ECU not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the K-Series ECU directly to a USB 2.0 port with a known-good cable, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager for an unknown USB device. Reinstall KManager if the Hondata USB device is missing.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Match KManager and ECU firmware versions. Update KManager first, reconnect the ECU, and accept any firmware prompt. Remove older Hondata/K-Pro driver packages before installing the current release.
